Safe, Sustainable and Swift Reconstruction conference

The ReUpress project was presented at the Safe, Sustainable and Swift Reconstruction of Ukraine conference, highlighting an innovative approach to the reuse of concrete demolition waste in reconstruction.

ReUpress enables concrete demolition waste to be compressed into building blocks shortly after sorting, reducing the need for primary raw materials such as cement. By converting locally available demolition waste into new building materials, the innovation aims to provide a more affordable and sustainable alternative to conventional concrete for the future reconstruction of Ukraine.

 
As the next step in the project, a full-scale pilot will be carried out in collaboration with the Ukrainian partners Eco+Logic and ReThink. The pilot is supported by the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO) and will further demonstrate the practical application and potential of the ReUpress technology in a real-world reconstruction context.
